There was a Consolidated ad in 1994 or 5 that totally made fun of ads designed like this. There were two options to make a cutting edge skateboard advertisement:
1. Big chilling photo with a small skating photo
2. Big skating photo with a small chilling photo
I always think of that when I see things like this, even though you can't mess with the Gonz.

they should have ran the photo bigger, it looks so good even that small.
