Union was a new wheel company in 1992. They had a pretty loaded team - Markovich, Eric Koston, Mike Vallely, Alphonzo Rawls, etc.
It's going to be random stuff for the next two weeks. I've got a week of Josh Beagle planned, except I need to scan one more photo in and I'm slowly putting together a little something on when Consolidated started.

The Union video is one of my favorites of all time. That company had such a great roster of riders.

"Urine thane" wheels were really good.
I don't think I saw that until many years after it came out. Was there a wee Andrew Reynolds in it?
Didn't Union end up backing 50/40 or ATM when they first started? Wasn't it one of the guys from NHS who started the company?
I thought that Union and Color were affiliated somehow. Anyone know how to get either of those videos?
I checked some ads. Union did back 60/40 and Color. I think the operation fell apart quickly because Markovich took the Color team back to Rocco and started Prime.
50/40? Damn, I typo'd that one wrong.
I think Rich Metiver was the original backer of 60/40 and he might still be involved with ATM (which of course Gonz used be involved with both companies).
I don't know where to get a copy of that video. I had a physical VHS copy of it, but lent it to a friend. I never got it back, even after going to his house to retrieve it. I knew it was a lost cause, because the inside of the home looked like something that belonged on the show "Hoarders" on A&E.
Josh Beagle kills it in the video, and Jerry Fowler and Ethan Fowler share a part. Thinking about this video now hurts because even Damon Byrd's wacky flip tricks would be worth watching now.

OK, it was Rich Metiver. I couldn't think of his name the other day. In some of the Union ads they used a set of eyes in a style like the Speed Freaks/Santa Cruz art.
