Debaser.

The kids know him these days as a skatepark operator and Alien Workshop pro, but back then Mr. Berra could throw down some mean tricks on the giant wooden U. He was also doing the latest tricks in the streets, too.

Darin "Cookiehead" Jenkins.

Darin was an H - Street vert am who also did the carcass toss down some big gaps and rails. He is wearing the Henry Sanchez t - shirt with the two girls on it. I think that's an underrated graphic from back then.

He possibly rides for Pocket Pistol Skates these days.

Kien "Donger" Lieu.

Not everybody went with small wheels and low impact tech tricks in 1992. Lieu kept things rolling with massive ollies in the streets.

He rode for H-Street, Life, Planet Earth, Maple and Dynasty.

Omar Hassan.

Omar put on a show in the Independent Trucks tour video from the other summer. He turned pro at sixteen for Blockhead and shuffled over to Acme when Jim Gray started that company. He rode for Acme co-brand Formula One for a portion of the mid 1990s and then settled in at Black Label.

I cruised around the skatepark last night. My old man legs actually worked and it was fun until the wind froze my hands. I knew I should have brought gloves.

John Montesi.

This guy had some dope skating in all the New Deal videos. I think he has a shop now and he pops up from time to time on the SPoT website.

John Deago & Rob "Sluggo" Boyce.

Sluggo was one of the first pros for Real after Tommy Guerrero and Jim Thiebaud. He was primarily a vert guy, but skated street, too. John was on H-Street and Real before turning pro for Stereo.

I've got about ten scans left from 1992. I'm going post all those and then move onto something new. One logical step might be 1993 or I might skip ahead a few years. I don't know yet. I'll also hit number 500 in the middle of April.

Karma had turned pro for Dogtown, but that company fizzled out and he wound up at SMA. His tenure on Santa Monica Airlines was brief because Consolidated would be starting soon.

Corey Chrysler.

Corey jumped down some big gaps. He rode for SMA and then joined up with Alan Petersen, Karma Tsocheff and Jason Jessee for Consolidated.

Chris Senn.

Nose blunt slide on a curb from the Blood Wizard.

Chris turned pro for Powell. He has ridden for Channel One, Adrenalin, Toy Machine and Element over the last eighteen years. He's won a few contests in his time and was named Thrasher's SOTY in 1995.

I had a Blood Wizard deck last summer. The wood was light and strong. My only complaint was that the top ply was red, which is my least favorite color. I thought all the gnarly SF guys considered red boards bad luck and wouldn't ride that color.

Ron Knigge.

Ron was a favorite from the first New Deal video with his fancy footwork and smooth lines. He added a few of the 1992 tricks like pressure flips and late flips to his moves for 1281, in addition to popping some big nollies. For Children Of The Sun, Ron cleaned up the circus tricks and the results were much better.

Ron has nothing to do with Plan B. The rumor is that Torey Pudwill is off Almost and on Plan B.

Don't mess with his Z-Rollers.

It's all things loosely associated with Plan B this week. More or less. I think I'm going to finally step up to my idea about the early history of Consolidated next week.

Ronnie started on Think before Henry Sanchez got him on Blind. He also rode for Plan B and finally ATM. He isn't pro any longer, but he works at ATM as the domestic sales manager.

Ed Templeton & Mike Vallely.

Ah, the tricks of 1992.

Ed and Mike did TV with financial backing from what was left of Vision in 1992. TV quickly changed to Television as the pair of former New Dealers joined up with the Zero Two company. The spelled out version of TV wasn't around long either. Ed started Toy Machine soon after and Mike went back to Powell, started Transit, rode for Black Label, helmed the brief existence of Vallely Skateboards and finally found a home at Element.
