Neal Hendrix #2.

I went to the mall yesterday. I normally won't buy anything at a mall skateshop, but as I was walking around I discovered that a Zumiez had opened. I initially thought it was another Pac Sun and that registered as odd so I had to investigate. I wound up buying the Zero Strange World video for twelve dollars. I don't feel too bad about that.

RVCA is now carried at Pac Sun. I bought two t-shirts because I need some new clothes. If I had looked at the prices, I wouldn't have bought them to begin with. I didn't realize it would be that much until the clerk rang me up and asked for forty bucks. Whoops. I feel bad about that. You get used to ordering t-shirts with the discount for three or more. I expected those numbers to carry over into the real world. I should have known better.

I'm on vacation in New Hampshire this week. Went with the Wife to the outlets, and there was a Pac Sun outlet there. I wanted to see if maybe I could get an Indy T-Shirt or a DC one on the cheap (yeah, I'm brand loyal--sue me). They had "Buy One, get one for $10) T-Shirts--found 2 DC ones I liked, and asked the guy at the desk how much the first one is--he replied "They are $18.99" So 2 for under $30 sounded like a deal. The guy rings me up and says $24.95 please (no sales tax in New Hampshire) I guess there's no accounting for math skills these days.

It seemed like everything was on sale in the store. One clerk even gave me a scratch off discount card that wasn't for what I bought, but the clerk who rang me up applied it anyway. I mean it was two t-shirts, I wasn't expecting it to be $40. I thought it would be about what you paid. Thankfully this was in Pennsylvania so there wasn't any sales tax on the clothes.

The moral of this story is to always check the prices before you buy.
