"Texas" Dan Sharp.
I saw a photo of this guy on Michael Burnett's Tumblr and then I found this interview. I figure it had to go up in case anybody was wondering who Texas Dan was. Dan's not actually from Texas.
Michael Burnett did the photos and the interview.

Enrique Lorenzo.
Enrique is another smooth and stylish Spanish skater. He rode for World Industries, Deca, Monkey Stix and currently is on Expedition.
After World Industries sold their soul to a cartoonish devil, it wasn't long before a few changes had to be made for the older guys with the company. Hence the short lived Deca came into existence. The team also included Deawon Song, J.B. Gillet, Marcus McBride and Luis Cruz. Deca didn't last long and Daewon would soon ride for the even shorter lived brand called Artafact before Almost was started.
Seu Trinh took the photo.

Julien Stranger #14.
From the SMA days to his stint in the Underworld to Real and Anti-Hero, Julien has always been a favorite of mine. It's hard to believe he's been pro for over twenty years now. Of course since he's in his low forties and running Anti-Hero, the in-print on-board sightings become fewer, but Julien is always good for a great photo every so often. Take the Anti-Hero ad from a couple months ago of the frontside air in the bowl for example. His trick selection is timeless. Coupling that with a bit of necessary obscurity adds to the Stranger's mystique.
I'll be back on Monday with one more week of the year 2000. Have a good Thanksgiving and/or rest of the week.

Mike Rusczyk.
One time Foundation pro with a mastery of step off no complies seldom seen since the Rubber Boys days of Powell Peralta.
Baker just turned Shane Heyl pro. There's still hope for all us old dudes.
Looks like the folks at Girl and Chocolate have been working on a new little movie.

Damian Bravo, J.T. Aultz & Nate Jones.
The Real amateurs circa 2000.
J.T. sustained a head injury in Las Vegas last week. The latest updates from Jim Thiebaud on Twitter are that he is going to be OK and has been discharged from the hospital. That's some good news to hear.
Check out the Chrome Ball Incident for Mark & Eric's Pack Of Lies featuring former Slap writer Mark Whiteley.

Ronnie Creager #2.
Same as it ever was.
I'm always reluctant to use World Industries and Blind stuff because of the corny little cartoon characters that live on the corners of the page. No matter how rad the trick is, I can't make myself scan some of them. Thankfully the guys have other sponsors.
The game plan around here is to carry on with the year 2000 for a little bit longer. I'll post stuff next week from Monday through Wednesday. It will still be 2000 for the last week of November/first days of December, too. Then starting on December 5, things will be getting kicked old school back to the 1988-1991 time frame for the rest of the month. I'll be taking the first two weeks of 2012 off. It will be 2001 and 2002 after that. I'm planning on spending a month on each year and then I'm not sure what. I've been doing a logical progression from one year to the next for a while now because it is easier for me in terms of efficiently using my time, but I'm getting a little tired of doing that.
Hang in there, J.T.

Rune Glifberg.
Carrying on the proud vertical traditions started in Denmark by Nicky Guerrero.
I remember watching Rune at the X-Games, maybe even when it was the Extreme Games still, and being blown away with how smoothly he skated. He was doing all the latest vert tricks higher and more stylishly than everybody else. I've been a fan ever since. And a lazy one at that since it took this long to scan a picture of him for the website.
Fury was a truck company launched out of Birdhouse. The team included Tony Hawk, Geoff Rowley, Chad Muska and Rune at the beginning. Lance Mountain and Bob Burnquist soon joined up. The trucks had a weird design that made them suited more for carving and ramps than street skating. When will people learn that it is a lost cause to start a new truck company?

Alan Petersen #9.
No nude fish.
Speaking of fish, be sure to check out the new clip from Hard Times that is on the Thrasher website. I'm not sure of the skater's name, but the guy does a half cab stalefish transfer that is amazing at the 0:50 second mark.
Nik Freitas did the photos and asked the questions.

Feet:
It looks like Lakai has a new model out called the Sutter, which is very close in design to the old Soca. That was one of my favorite shoes ever. I'm never sure with how my own tastes register with other people, but Scott Johnston listed the Soca as one of his favorites in his Already Been Done interview.
Videos:
1. Steve Forstner's Gravis part came out earlier in the month and I still need to watch it.
2. Nyjah Huston's video drops today. Is it free or do you have to buy it? I don't care how good it is, I'm not buying an online only clip.
3. Walker Ryan's Graduation part from Organika is pretty sweet.

Peter Smolik.
Old Dirty Smolik.
The man who gave us pants that you could velcro to your sneakers and then partied away his Osiris money without regret.
Peter rode for Voice before getting picked to be the third pro at Shorty's alongside Chad Muska and Steve Olson. He had a good run at the end of the 1990s and into the 2000s until Shorty's fell off. He subsequently started SK8MAFIA and that seems to be doing well, with Wes Kremer as everybody's favorite new pro.
I just like that photo of him in front of the bar.
Geoff Kula shot the sequence.

Elissa Steamer.
Time for your weekly Toy Machine injection.
I watched Toy Machine's Live last night. Ethan Fowler's part is an interesting one. For half of it he is wearing big pants and doing the tricks of the day. For the other half of it, his trousers have slimmed down and the trick selection is much more classic. Ed Templeton puts on a flip trick clinic, which seems out of place for him. He even does a nollie backside kickflip down some stairs.
I've been slowly working my way through GSD's Best Of Skate Fate book. It's quite a collection and you should look at picking up a copy. I'm planning on using some quotes from it for December when I kick it back to the 1988 - 1990 era. I only have one slight complaint about the book. Skate Fate also had a music component and there aren't any interviews with bands included in the book. I understand why they weren't included as this is strictly a skateboard related endeavor, but when interviews with Scratch Acid and Galaxie 500 are listed in the index of the issues, I'd like to read them.
Apparently anything Manny Santiago can flip into on a handrail, Alex Perelson can flip into on a vert ramp. See the new Real ad for confirmation.
