Eric Pupecki.

Fine Artist.

Eric is from Providence, Rhode Island. He was sponsored by Deluxe and was on Fun, Ron Allen's short lived company under their umbrella. He switched to Element and then was part of Menace and the assorted companies that evolved into. Of note is that he was friends with Shepard Fairey and lit the creative spark that lead to Fairey's famous "Andre the Giant has a Posse" sticker campaign.

and Fairey hasn't done anything except copy other peoples stuff ever since...

but skating wise I bought my kid some Spitfire swirls last night, time to switch up the old hand-me down Gold Goons off his set up for some of his preferred 'flame head guy' gear.

LOL. I'm not a huge fan of his art. He certainly has accomplished a lot, but the work seems bland and uninspired. The Andre the Giant stickers were cool. Based on the interview I read with Fairey, he and Eric were hanging out and Eric wanted to learn how to make a stencil. Fairey showed him a pic of Andre and how to cut it out, but Eric got frustrated at the process. He made enough of a start that Fairey decided to finish the job. No idea how accurate the story is and I'm not trying to accuse anybody of anything. I thought there was an interview with Eric about the stickers, but I couldn't find it.

I've ridden Spitfires for so long now that those are the only wheels I'll ride.

good to hear, I thought I may be burning a bridge so to speak with the last comment.
Re: Spitfires, I've dealt with Reed Goodman at Deluxe and he's awesome, just another reason I buy Spitfires.

I think Dave Carnie had a negative critique of his art, too.
