The Birdman's favorites circa 1989. I'm mildly surprised that Police Academy 4: Citizens On Patrol wasn't in his movies category. I kind of dug lists back in the pre-internet days because it gave you some insight into what a person was like. I'm not sure if we checked out any of the bands Tony mentioned at the time, but we were definitely listening to a few of them. I know I got into some of the others later on.
Congrats to Jamie Foy on winning Thrasher's Skater of the Year.
For anybody who saw the Colts vs. Bills game and was wondering, my town didn't get the snow Buffalo got. We've had about six inches on the ground since Thursday, but we didn't get dumped on like the Queen City did yesterday afternoon. We're south just enough that our weather can be slightly different from Buffalo.

I can't imagine living somewhere that gets that much snow. The places I've lived, if the weatherman calls for half an inch people freak out, and flock to the grocery store to stock up on bread and bottled water.
That board looks...horrible.
As for the snow, we got a bit today, but overnight are supposed to get dumped on with temp's going to below -15 C and staying there...outdoor skating is cancelled until further notice, but 'pond hockey' skating might be an option soon.
Yeah, that board does look horrible. It's also probably the same deck I was riding at the time.
Usually the plows take care of the snow, but due to population decline and budget cuts over the years, the streets and sidewalks don't get the clearing they once did. My school was notorious for never closing back in the day, even when every other school was. The only good that would come of that was budgeted snow days were added to Memorial Day weekend so you'd get five days off when the weather was nice.
I'd say people know how to drive in the snow around here, but that's a bunch of bull. Nobody knows how to drive regardless of road conditions.
