Communication Breakdown.
The Chief and his crew at Zero helped bring back the street grab to skateboarding. A well done one is a thing of beauty. Jamie scored a pro model from Emerica, but left for a brief stint on Adio and later joined up with Circa.

Unless it’s a roast beef grab.
Forgot about those. Grosso only.
I think there's a couple other grabs I don't really care for. Depends on who is doing them and on what sort of terrain.
I guess a Benihana is also a grab, and they make the roast beef look elegant by comparison. Late 80s I was guilty of the Ollie north tail grab which was stupid. Putting rip grip on your board to somehow grab better? There’s a lot of problematic grab stuff out there
Remy Stratton had a good one on vert. Did you read the Jenkem article on the Benihana? Turns out everybody is doing them wrong.
Heelflip indys on street are maybe sort of gross. Tailgrabs on ramps look good. I slammed on one off a launch ramp ages ago so I gave up on those.
grabs on transition always feel nice, the board just hops into your hand and you throw in a little tweak. Launch ramps are fun if you don’t mind telescoping your spine, I guess the big problem is grabs on flat ground. I did read the Benihana article, my fear being that it would legitimize the trick. Ollie airwalks are the exception, they’re always great especially if you can double walk them
