I've been on a Foundation kick the last few weeks. Corey and Dakota Servold are a couple of my favorite skateboarders at the moment. I watched the F Troop's somewhat newish Souvenir video and the older WTF! video recently. I had sort of forgotten about WTF! It was older than I remembered as it was released in the fall of 2011. A young Dakota Servold kicked that one off. He had hair back then. Letícia Bufoni had a couple tricks in the am section after the credits. Tod Swank's silly little drawings have always looked cool to me.

Anthony is from Los Angeles. He was one of the new kids back in the early 2000s who excelled at handrail skateboarding. He rode for Bootleg and DVS. I think he was on Shorty's, too.

The Mad Circle started up in 1993 as Justin Girard's branch of the New Deal. Mike Cao and Chris Fissell were the other two in-house transfers to the team. Scott Johnston left Think for the Circle around this time, too. Of note is that Barry "Twist" McGee was involved with creating a lot of the early graphics.

Ryan Lay's new Wellspring video documenting his trip to Palestine is a fun watch. He gets a ton of bonus points for using two songs by Heavenly. Music in skateboard videos doesn't usually bug me one way or the other, but there have been a bunch of clips I've stopped watching recently because the tunes were flat out awful. It was nice to hear a band I actually like for a change.

Jahmal is from Boston. He's ridden for Molotov, TV/Television, Toy Machine, Powell, American Dream, Infamous, and DNA before starting up his own project called Hopps in 2007. In addition to skateboarding, Jahmal is into art and enjoys painting. He had a great part in Josh Stewart's Static 456 video from 2014.

Sean puts down a sick backside Smith grind while Andy does an upper decker nose blunt to yank in. He had been riding for Consolidated prior to switching to Anti-Hero.

The video of the Fallen team at the Transworld park is a fun little clip. There's even a Billy Marks sighting.

Fun bit of trivia: The February 1997 Anti-Hero ad was also a split with Andy and Sean.

Red ply board? Craziness. I believe the story was that a couple of guys in the Anti-Hero circle had gotten hurt riding boards with a red top ply so they quit riding red boards. I've never liked the color red very much so I adopted this philosophy as well.

Sean started skateboarding in Enterprise, Alabama. He moved up to New Hampshire for a few years and then back down south to the Atlanta area. Sean later headed out to San Francisco with Jamie Thomas and Hurley. Legend has it those dudes were sleeping on the bricks at EMB. He turned pro for Anti-Hero and then faded into the ether.

Rest in peace, Jeff.
