This ad would have been from when the Gonz was over riding for Blind. Jason would leave soon enough to start Blue and then Stereo.

as an old guy I can't even imagine being young and starting to skate now, the tricks are insane. obviously mine would not have been so stylish but in 92 I could noseslide to pivot, things were approachable. and yes, I had the Lee Blind Racing Stripe board, loved it.
The Racing Stripe decks were amazing. I wish I had one.
I agree on how intimidating skateboarding must seem to somebody just starting out. I think it is a good thing that skating has embraced a do whatever type of stance these days. Curbs are cool, rails are cool, ramps are cool so you at least have options.
On the plus side, there are so many more parks and places to ride so that has to help a lot.
