Enjoy the silence.
This trick was in BA's shared part with Gino Iannuci in Nike's Nothing But The Truth video from 2007. I really like the part from Reese Forbes in that flick.
Chops has a cool list of top five video parts over at Quartersnacks.
The first day of skating in new shoes went well last night. I knew my old kicks were getting bad, but I didn't realize how bad. It's so good to have grip again on ollies.

For all the (semi) shoe nerds out there, what are your new kicks and what's your review? I have a pair of the original, mid top, Crockett's ready to go but am currently laid up so I may use them as slippers until I'm good to go.
I'm on my second pair of éS Accel Slims. They are OK. You notice the slimmer sole for sure. The tops hold up great, but it felt like the bottom went too fast. I guess the old pair lasted about eight and half months so that's pretty good. They were my winter shoes before I started skating in them so that added wear.
I can't really comment. I'm old and out of touch. I don't like skateboard shoes today- they're too thin and flimsy. I have a lot of shoes, but they're all old school / passe- thick soles, padded.
I was wearing some Adidas Busenitz shoes one day and my friend said, "I didn't like those shoes. The heel is too thick." But to me, they're so thin I just wear them when I ride my bike.
I have some Busenitz as well...and they're not skated in. As a fellow old guy when I decided to give skating a serious go again when I entered my 40's a few years back I bought some giant globe monstrosities and some half cabs as that's what I knew. Eventually settled on Etnies maranas, not a slip on boat shoe but not a D3 either
I can relate. I still ride a 7 and 3/4 board, too.
I like the brown Emerica Reynolds G6. I would get those if I didn't already have an absurd amount of shoes.
You're preaching to the choir about shoes on this one.
Things are so hit or miss with current shoes. I've had a couple different pairs of Hufs that were great - well padded, cupsole of good thickness, etc. - but then they stopped making them and went in a different direction.
Lakai needs to bring back the Soca as it was, not updated, not with a weird sole, but exactly as it was.
