Metal Man.
Jerry is from Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He skated Philly and New York a lot. His crew was called Metal and consisted of Fred Gall, Brian Stevens, Eric Ruwadi, and others. This is where Fred got the name for his current Metal skateboards project. The Metal moniker has been in circulation over the years since the mid 1990s so it was a natural progression for Fred to keep using it. Jerry rode for Think, Venture, and Failure skate shop. He's also the one who pushed Fred to skate handrails more.
The photograph is by Gabe Morford.
Note: I cropped this one down from a subscription ad in Slap.

His set-up is the epitome of what we referred to as a "Biggie Smalls." Big board, big wheels, and small trucks. It just does not go together. He looks to be riding Thunder 145s, too. And at that time, there was not an option of big Thunders. But, he should have been on Indy 169s to accommodate the big board.

I get that. The wheels look even stranger since they are black.
I think the photo looks very current. Blank board, black wheels, Half Cabs, etc. If you said he was on FA or Violet, it would be believable.
I wonder if Jerry lived in the East Bay, CA, for a time. This photo is at the Oakland Art Museum and he also had a Think ad ollie the stairs leading up to those Berkeley tennis courts.
He might have. Or else he had a productive road trip. His checkout was in the same issue of Slap and had a photo sequence in SF.
"Still moving dirt." 🤘🏻😂
