I remember saying to myself when this ad came out, "Finally!" The worst-kept secret was that Geoff Rowley did not ride Fury trucks, despite being on the team. Kinda reminiscent of the early '90s when dudes who rode, for example, Tracker, yet everyone was riding the new Ventures.
New technological advances in trucks don't matter, and don't sell. Whether it be Fury's ball/socket pivot cup or Tensor's slider plates. The tried and true of Indy, Thunder, and Venture are all that skateboarding needs. To hell with Ace, Theeve and all the other newcomers. Those won't last.
