Brian is from Duluth, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. He was sponsored by the Black Label before switching to Torque, the hometown brand run by former Schmitt Stix rider Thomas Taylor. Brian also rode for Thunder, Spitfire, and Vans. He attended UC Berkeley to study chemical engineering and I believe he is currently a doctor. Back in the early 1990s, his favorite tunes included Cypress Hill, Bad Religion, Gangstarr, and the Beastie Boys.

Other than adding some Fugazi and Metallica...I think our early 90's music choices would have been pretty aligned.
And trying to wait out an injury when the weather is nice seems to take forever.
I think he's one of those guys who, for whatever reason, don't translate to media. I saw him in person growing up and thought, Wow, this guy is really good.
A few years later, I kept expecting him to blow up but he never really did. Maybe going to college had something to do with it.
From some of the comments on a Chrome Ball post on Brian, it seems like he was focused on being a doctor so he just ripped when he could. Also sounds like he never quit skateboarding, just stepped out of the spotlight.
He was actually first one of the first amateurs for Real.
Yeah I grew up skating with Brian in middle and early high school. He went to U Berkeley for a Chem Engineering degree, not sure if he changed majors or not. Skated when he could but school and career were more important.
