Jim was part of the Phillie scene with Ricky Oyola, Matt Reason, and the rest of the crew. I wasn't sure if he turned pro, but this ad confirms that he did. He also rode for Sub Zero and Kastel. His music tastes in the 1990s included Superchunk, Sebadoh, and Fugazi.

Without the text I would have thought this was an Expedition ad from the colour scheme - as I remember some early Channy and Alfonso ads being very similar.
Yeah, the Expedition ads were kind of similar. Capital had their own style that was maybe a little more bold and direct. I want to dig up a couple Intensity Skates catalogs to see just how much they look like the ads.
