Pat does an epic frontside rock for the Skateboard Mag. After parting ways with Thrasher and starting his Epicly Later'd series, O'Dell popped up to be a guest editor for the Mag's April 2008 issue.

I always felt his fascination with the Baker guys was embarrassing, to the point of cringe-inducing. It came off like the nerdy guy finally got to hang around the "cool" kids, and by association it would make him cool. But what I took away from the Epicly Laterd episodes on the Baker squad is a lot of these guy's behaviour was so detrimental to either themselves and/or the people in their immediate social circle. And it gets excused with, "well, that is what we were into at the time."
That makes sense. He's a skateboard nerd from Ohio who is suddenly covering, traveling with, and becoming friends with the rockstars of skateboarding. That's a pretty surreal situation to wind up in.
I've been browsing his old photo blog a little recently. It seems like a whole other world from an eternity ago.
