Rellik.

Canadian Trucking Industry.

Rellik was a truck company based out of Montreal. I don't think they lasted very long, although they might have switched over to making long boards later on. They also made bearings, hardware, and wheels.

Whoa! Did not figure to see Mississauga City Hall here today! The Pirog photo was taken there, where I grew up and my parents still live...I was literally behind that spot for a birthday dinner last week (its beside a giant mall/restaurant complex).

That's cool. I was actually through there by train at the start of the month. A friend and I went to Ottawa. We drove up to Hamilton and took the railroad the rest of the way. It was neat. I would've liked to fit in some skateboarding somehow, but that's trivial.

I think skate tools are the only remaining thing Unit makes. I bought one a few years ago as a spare to keep in my car.

Hamilton? 15 Minutes away from me now...a visit to the Beasley Bowl would have been in order - one of the oldest outdoor parks in Canada to my knowledge. People like Weiss, Appleyard, Grant Patterson etc have old footage there.

Also, VIA trains, my main mode of long distance transportation in my Uni days. Hope Ottawa was fun.

I never go anywhere or take days off so the trip was nice. We liked how mellow the VIA train was.

My Canadian geography is bad. I know all the names of the towns from TV and radio, but I wasn't really sure on exact locations. I've got a better sense of at least Ontario now. I didn't realize how close Hamilton is to me. I need to get back up there to skateboard some day.
