John Deago.

John rode for H - Street, Stereo and 60/40. I don't think he turned pro until he was on 60/40. He wasn't in the first Stereo video. Two of my friends from back in the day were really into this guy. I never saw the Glasses For Your Feet video or even really heard about it. I think Watson mentioned it on You Will Soon and there is an entry for it on Skim The Fat. It would have been from the time after the Gonz left the company to ride for Real. I did watch John's part on YouTube this morning and he puts together some smooth lines.

I used to love this guys small part in Hokus Puokus, loved his style of skating and clothes, kinda gay, but i tried to dress like him while everyone else dressed like Hensley.

My friends liked that part, too. I'm going to try to rewatch it this weekend if I have the time.

Saw this dude recently in Oakland and decided to see what he's up to. Really, I remember seeing him around Contra Costa in the mid-90's skating with Doug Saenz, who rode for what was then called Underworld Element, I think. He also used to skate with Staba when Staba first got on Foundation. Staba was a shit talker and I can remember Deago remonstrating him in a skate shop in front of everyone. Staba was good but few people liked him.

Deago was kind of like this old school dude who kept up with skating's progression, but didn't give a fuck about being on the radar. Absolutely no ego. He'd show up alone at weird spots late at night and would just kind of keep to himself.
