Eric Murphy.

I like this photo. I don't know all that much about Eric Murphy. I guess he rode for Alva and was from Chicago. This week has developed into air to fakie week. I hadn't planned on it, but I'm just going to roll with it.

Spike Jonze took the picture.

Eric used to be the biggest prick if he didn't land something and you were somewhere near him, you didn't even have to be in his way or the reason he didn't land, you were just at the wrong place wrong time. you could even be friends with him. skated for Acme for a couple of years, stopped skating and then Chicago opened up Wilson skatepark, Eric came out of the woodwork and just blasted airs huge just like he used to with such speed, a little more laid back i haven't seen him in about a year now. he's still out there get burley.

Used to skate with Eric all the time in Chicago ... I was part of a small south side of Chicago crew of 3 who used to meet up with Eric in the city and skate till the weee hours .... Dude was tall and burly ... would jump up on handrails and do stairs huge back in the day. Yes , dude got pissed when he didn't land shit ... crazy !!! I always wondered where that dude went.....

Eric used to take us kids out skating in the north suburbs with his step brother... used to give us stickers for gnarly tricks and falls. Inspirational until he stole from us ha
