John Montesi #2.

It's been super busy at work today. I almost didn't think I'd have time to update. My boss has been showing me how to use the giant camera for shooting from paste ups along with showing me how to strip film and burn plates for printing.

I forgot to mention yesterday that this is Children Of The Sun week and will feature New Deal riders from that video.

There aren't too many comments on your site but I just want to let you know that your blog rules!

Thanks for all that work!

The New Deal era was insane. So many good/not so good riders,fancy/shitty tricks,bad/good or even worse styles...the the definition of the early 90's new school movement.Skateboard history!

You're welcome.

I always figure that if there aren't comments, it's because what I'm posting is boring.

Justin,
I don't find the early 90's stuff boring--it's actually the years when I was working my butt off post-college, and skating was something I could barely find time for. I find the stuff from back then interesting and educational, but I read it and absorb it, I just have no comments because I have no point of reference for that 4 or 5 year span when I was a corporate drone. It's ALL very much appreciated regardless...

I don't even know if boring is the right word. It probably isn't. Sometimes things that you find interesting, other people just don't. It's not like I'm injecting a lot of opinion or talking shit either to provoke a debate. A good skateboard photo is going to stand by itself and nobody really needs to say anything. It's not a big deal because I know people are looking at this website and if it provides a little entertainment to somebody's work day, then that's all that matters.
