According to a recent, mostly scientific, study conducted by the folks at Jenkem Magazine, Bronson finishes second behind Bones Swiss for fastest bearings on the market. They also come in at a better value compared to Swiss. I've been using Bronson the last couple of years and they seem plenty fast enough.

I have been skating Bronson G3's for a while now. (They used G2's in the test). I always thought they were really fast and smooth. They were getting some hate in the chat rooms so I kept trying other brands thinking maybe I just "thought" they were fast and I was missing out. I grabbed some Indy Blacks, Rush 7's, and Indy Super Reds. All of them were "okay" and I didn't have any issues with them, but they were all slower and not as smooth. I'm old so I'm not that hard on bearings. Mostly just ollies and transition skating. But I'm yet to find something faster.
Someone commented on the video that they've skated both G3's and Bones Swiss and the G3's were faster. Not sure which is more durable, but for the price difference, Bronson is still probably the better choice. I'm surprised by this though.
That all sounds about right and mirrors the experiences I've had with Bronson. I think I have the G3s now, but did have a set of G2s when they first came out. You probably can't beat the quality for the price. I'm not a big Powell fan so I tend to stay away from anything they do.
I take the general internet chatter about products with a grain of salt since my experiences are usually the opposite of what is being said.
Bearings last me so long that I rarely switch out before decks, trucks. Yes my bearings caved before non slip axles but they always got better with age for me after.
You're right. My bearings last a long time, too. I do clean them often when I rotate wheels so that has to help.
