Pat Brennen.

Street Fighter.

Pat was from Pasadena, California. He was an amateur on Alva before switching to Powell Peralta. Pat turned pro for Powell and later joined up with Lance Mountain at the Firm. Sadly, he was killed in a car accident in 1997.

One of my favorites. His parts in those Powell videos are still sick. RIP

By the way how weird was this ad after everything that happened?

I've rode his deck (Street fighter Buda Everslick) in late 90's. When I saw the full page graphic in Transworld Magazine (I think), I thought it was some kind of a joke or advertisement stuff. But saddly it was not. Pat Brennen was one of my greatest idols in my first years of skateboarding.

The guy was a ripper. I had one of his t-shirts that I always liked. Might still have it in the closest.

For reference purposes, this ad came out a few years before Pat passed away.
