Jake Johnson #2.

Penn State.

There was some question as to what Jake was going to do when the Alien Workshop came to an end. The rumors included him being out of commission due to injuries, which were an actual problem, or that he might ride for Krooked or Polar. There was even the chance that he was done with skateboarding. He was granted a Gest Board from the Gonz and wound up on the new Mother Collective, which is now Quasi.

The photo is by Eric "Rodent" Cheslak.

Speaking of J.J. I just wiped out on my J.J AWS sketchbook deck in front of some kids while skating over the lunch hour today, its great when a 15 year old asks 'how long have you been skating?' and "wow, you must have rode really big wheels eh?" just before seeing you sprain your ankle and getting a vicious 'hipper' all in the same full speed fail.

You always seem to wind up in odd situations that result in slams.

its primarily the lack of any skill matched with my ability to see the funny side of my injuries.

It's good to be able to laugh at yourself.
