Shin is from Japan. He was born in Tokyo and grew up in Chigasaki. His dad got him into both skateboarding and surfing. He is a fan of Anti-Hero videos and Mind Field era Jake Johnson. Pontus Alv turned him pro earlier this year. His other sponsors include Adidas, OJ Wheels, and Ace Trucks.
