Kareem Campbell #4.
Seven Shot Sequence.
Kareem takes flight down a triple set, but doesn't stick the landing due to deck breakage upon impact. Everybody knows boards break, it just seems a little odd to use that in an ad. At least they had some fun with it.
Vert Is Dead will be back on Thursday.

Off topic - anyone watch Brian Anderson's vid on Vice? It was great, but my god are Phelps and Beibel cringe worthy.
On topic - I like the ad. Showing your product breaking wouldn't have put me off back then (esp since he lands all tail). However I never owned any Blue gear so can't say how held up with regular people usage.
Biebel is like a sixth-year senior frat boy, who is scared to leave college, so he keeps switching majors. Just emotionally stunted and lacking any sort of compassion. A friend tells you something like this and your first thought is about how it impacts you? No compassion whatsoever? No thoughts as to how he is and how he will handle it; no offers of support?
As for Phelps, I think he only cares about skateboarding. "Oh you are gay? Can you still skate? Who cares, get back on your board."
For he rest who were interviewed, I like that there was a perspective of let's focus on him as a person first and his happiness. When BA talked about having to hide who he truly was and asking people not to say anything when they saw him in public with another man, wow I just couldn't imagine the stress, anxiety and fear of being found out. Good for BA to not have to deal with that and good for those who came off like reasonable adults.

Rikku - Spot on about Biebel. He sounded like an idiot. A supportive idiot, but still.
Phelps was Phelps. They maybe should have limited him to his first quote only. Although there is something strangely noble in only judging a person by whether or not they skateboard. It's a little shallow and a simplistic world view, but he didn't say anything too bad so that's a plus.
