Ron Whaley #4.

Powerbolts.

Mr. Whaley would have been riding for Santa Cruz and Krux in 1999. I'm not sure if Ron was on Etnies, but he did the trick a lot of skaters without shoe sponsors did in the late 1990s: wear a company's gear for the photos. It's weird how that never turned into a sponsorship opportunity for anybody because it happened often enough.

Hmmm. Figured you may have snuck in "Rocco is back" today...as according to Bill Weiss he's now part of Sidewalk Distribution. If you want a wide range of responses to this information head to Slap where young and old call each other bad names over something that most likely means nothing.

Sticking to the ad/post - that etnies shirt is giving me heavy motocross vibes. Like Fox Racing

I didn't think anything of Rocco's letter. I wasn't even sure if it was real when I saw it early this morning.

I guess Steve was bummed Harmony Korine beat him to EDGLRD or something.

What all is Rocco going to bring to the table in 2024? In retrospect, a whole lot of what he did wasn't very good and really wouldn't fly in today's world. It barely flew back in the 1990s.

I've been feeling like skateboarding needs a bit of a change lately. Nothing major, maybe just rearrange the furniture, fresh coat of paint, new carpet, something like that. This probably isn't that change.

I browsed Slap the other day looking up info for a post and was reminded why I completely avoid that website.
