Jackson Taylor.
"Jackson Taylor is 21 years old, and has been into skating for 10 years. He's from Newport, North Carolina. He had a car, couldn't keep it, flipped a coin - heads: California, tails: Carolina - and got California, probably thinking he's gonna make it big. So, he comes here, not knowing anybody, only relying his humble fuckin' nice guy attitude. He says he tried surfing and barely got into old bicycles and Scott Bourne rules. Jack is one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet - not very punctual, but that doesn't make him a bad guy. In this order, he loves his mom, Consolidated, Skateworks, Solar and Kastel." - Jason Jessee
Consolidated pokes a little fun at Hands Across America.

I remember Jackson telling me about this, was good friends with him during his life in Chicago. Funny guy, a chore to get him to skate soemtimes... "looks humid" was one of his excuses. Amazing to watch, lost touch with him... just found a letter his mom wrote him the other day in a bag of his stuff I still have.
I grew up with Jackson in NC. Then followed him and a few others this way to California. Jack was a rad skater. Ran into some bad luck here and there. Last I talked to him was probably 5 years ago, he was in Chicago. Don't know where he is now.
Jack is back in NC. Had quite a few problems with the bottle which cost him skate contracts and most jobs. Recently, he could be found most times at Beach Tavern in Atlantic Beach.
