Willy Santos #4.

Willy levels out a proper frontside noseslide. I know the trick has a bit of a bad reputation, but a well done one that actually slides does look good.

The photo is by Atiba Jefferson.

There is nothing wrong with FS nose slides. There was one photog who said it is a lazy trick and he refused to shoot them, but look at Moses Itkonen and how he does them, where his back toe is pushing the back end, akin to a proper front rock. A good photo of one is Ocean Howell doing it on the big ledge at EMB.

Wasn’t it the go to trick for a pro with hangover who needed a photo for an ad?

Didn’t Lizard King and Paul Machnau take the frontside noseslide down some giant handrails?

Somebody did one across some steps in the Outpost video from last year and I thought it looked really cool. I’ve slowly been trying to relearn them. It’s hard to get it solid and slide properly.

One Sunday afternoon at the skatepark a few years ago there was this high school kid who was doing a bunch of talking. He was saying he did this trick and that trick and told a cop to flip off, yada yada yada. He’s talking up how awesome he is. I’m just like whatever, dude.

So when he finally does start to skate, he pushes wrong at the ledge and flings himself into an attempt at frontside noseslide. It was so gross and kind of funny at the same time.

@rikku, I really don't like Moses' fs nose slide but I really like Mike York's.

Paul Machnau absolutely took one down a big handrail, in Transworld's "Feedback," and he his weight was heavy on the front foot. I think Lizard got the cover of TWS by doing his on Hollywood High 16.

I'll have to do a Machnau post in the future. I've gotten a little bored of the mid 1990s comfort zone.
